A BRIEF INTERLUDE

Münchhausen trilemma

It’s impossible to prove truth. A great many arguments rely on a very limited modality of thinking, that the adoption of a “logic” as one’s sole mechanism for understanding the world (or a mechanism used when faith is a consideration) is invalid. Yet there are no shortage of arguments that appear logically valid and are yet completely wrong. (Scientific racism, for example.)
